Namaste

Best. Opening. Sequence. In. A. Long. Time.
How cool was that when that plane landed on the runway?!? Great CGI..... And then the jerk boyfriend from Son In Law, with Pauly Shore, got a tree branch thru the chest... glad to see he's still getting work..
Well the first most interesting thing about this was the runway... this is the same runway that Sawyer and Kate were working on, waaaay back in Season 3, while they were captives of the Others.... now it's finally put to use.. so someone had to know that a plane would be landing here at some point, right?? Right?? Right! And that someone was.... well it had to be someone on the plane that actually landed there.... and that someone would have to have a way of communicating that info back thru time and space, right?... I'm just going to guess that Ben is pretty powerful and is on top of this one...
Anyway, the second most interesting thing about the flight crashing was that, when they radioed mayday, you could hear the numbers repeating again... remember Danielle added her distress signal to them but the numbers were repeating over and over again... you could just make them out as the plane was going down... don't know what it means yet... when the 815ers got to the radio tower they turned it off.... something happened to restore it...it may not mean anything but when does that mean anything?.. :) more on this theory below....

Sawyer is running the show as a thinking man's Jack Shepard... back in business as the best con man this side of Dharmaville...
but not only does he have to figure out how to keep everyone's stories straight, he's also got to keep his love life in tact... Juliet is obviously aware of this same fact but she helps out by supporting her man....once again proving that she's awesome... I mean, if you were into that type of thing... I'm a baby...what do I know?
Tonight we were introduced to another character from the LOST mythology: Radzinsky.

This is the cat who was in the Hatch prior to Desmond...turns out he's responsible for building the thing.. besides being a total pain in the arse, he seems to be a pretty big deal, running the Flame station that connects the island to the main land. I'm sure we'll see more in the weeks to come... as we know, he blows his brains all over the inside of the Swan stations ceiling so, hopefully, they'll just allude to that... we really don't need the visual..
Hurley brought up a good point to Sawyer about how the DHARMA Initiative was wiped out...Sawyer then dropped a little nugget about Faraday and his whatever happened, happened speech... now here's something we all need to consider: if the past can't be changed, then why are Jack and co. back in 1977? To see why the DI failed? To see the "incident" first hand? It doesn't really add up to...something has caused them to go back to this point...do they manage to alter the future??
Amy named her baby...the first Other we ever met: Ethan....
As far as a fellow baby goes, this fella is kinda cute...too bad he grows up into one of the creepiest villains on TV....so where does that leave us? Think about this: Ethan was responsibile for recruiting Juliet to the Island. The reason behind that was so Juliet could figure out a way to help the women give birth. But what if that was always going to be a losing battle? We already know that the DI ships their pregnant ladies back to the mainland to have their babies.... so perhaps Juliet was recruited to the Island because they(Ben, Richard) knew she had to be on the Island, in order to time travel back to Ethan's birth, in order to deliver him.... which, yes, I realize opens a whole can of time travel worms... but it's starting to make sense.... the real question is what makes Ethan and his birth so special? Methinks Horace isn't Ethan's real dad at all...perhaps, Richard is?... You have to go waaayy back into the old man's archives to read about his theory on native Islanders communing with earthly women... I can't get into here for 2 reasons...a) it's pretty convoluted and 2) I'm a baby and it's pretty adult material...moving on...
Sayid is a Hostile...yeah, that about sums it up.... moving on.... what? you want more? How about the fact that Sayid is brought a sandwich by the one and only Benjamin Linus?!?!
That was certainly circuitious...it wasn't that long ago that Sayid was visiting Ben in a DHARMA cell... this show is so damn cool and this is why: My theory is that Jack et al make it back to the future before the Purge. Somehow their memory of ever being there is wiped out. But not Ben. He remembers ALL of it. SO go way back to season 2 and remember Ben in the cell, where he's being held prisoner and Sayid comes to "visit" him... That's how Ben was so calm..he knew that this guy couldn't kill him because Sayid still has to travel back in time... weird huh?
Speaking of Ben, he's hell bent on getting back to the main island... but thanks to the swing of the oar, Sun puts a stop to that and she and Frank hit the high seas in the outrigger boat....
They show up at the DI welcome station and are greated by none other than Smokey... well not exactly, but you hear it...and then interestingly enough who shows up? Christian Shepard..
... and he shows the crew of 2 the picture of the DI class of 1977 and then drops this bomb: You have a long journey ahead of you..... gee...thanks..could you be a little more vague, you walking dead jackass???
Sorry... I digressed... the real question is what has happened between the times 2004-2007? From the O6 leaving to the Ajira 316 showing up... the barracks have been abandoned and look to have been trashed... did Smokey go off his leash and start tearing things up? Or did something change in the past that's affected the future?? As I mentioned above, the numbers were repeating again on the radio tower's distress signal... that means something happened to switch them back on... as Sawyer once said, it's all in the details....
Now to the best emotional scene of the night:
Jack coming to the SLOW realization that Juliet is shacking up with Sawyer...and then being put into his place by Sawyer..Sawyer hit Jack below the belt with his leadership style of reacting and getting people killed.... Sawyer then hit Jack again with "there's a whole new sheriff in town" smack that let Jack know that Saywer is now THE MAN...and Jack can just sit back and relax and let Sawyer do the heavy lifting.... and the best part is Jack is going to let him...and that threw Sawyer for a loop..The last time he saw Jack, Jack was hell bent and sideways about getting off the island...now Jack seems to be reconciled to the fact that he's not calling the shots anymore.... and he appears to be at peace with that... Jack is starting a new lease on life and maybe he's beginning to embrace his greater purpose instead of his giant god complex ego...
Right before this scene though, Phil, the security lackey gave Jack a prolonged look of disgust... methinks there is something brewing there..Phil may be an Other convert... up to no good....
So who was this dashing fellow we got a prolonged look at?
This is where my vast DNA infused pop culture brain kicks in... whenever you watch this show or CSI or NCIS or some other acronymed show dealing with a mystery, generally the person you recognize but can't quite place is usually the culprit... and this guy is the next in line for being outed as a minor major player in the future of LOST...
The actor is Brad William Henke and he's been in numerous shows, most recently October Road, a JJ Abrams produced project.... he was also on Nash Bridges, for a couple of eps, which were produced by Carlton Cuse(exec prod. of LOST)..and he's in the new Star Trek, directed by JJ Abrams... see? Even life is as connected as the show....maybe that's the whole point of LOST...
Anyway, on LOST, Mr Henke plays Bram, and he ties to the other new character on the Ajira flight, Ilana... so stay tuned for more action from this cat...

That's my time today folks...sorry about the delay on the posting...the old man was sick and he's got the keys to the distro list... Take care!!

They call me LeFluer

It's creole, I believe....
I love this show..always have..I mean, I know this is my first real season of watching it visually but believe me when I say I have LOST running through my DNA... so trust me when I say that this was a filler episode...That's not to say it wasn't solid..It was very much so... it's long been theorized that the Island is a place for redemption and tonight we saw the redemption of James Ford...
First things first: did you see the rest of the 3 toed statue??? Holy smokes that thing was tall....and Egyptian..... if you look closely it definitely resembles a statue of pharaoh...kind of goes with all the hieroglyphics we've seen so far....as a matter of fact there was another Egyptian symbol shown several times tonight: the ankh, which is a hieroglyphic symbol that means eternal life.... how about that?....and you know what else? Once Sawyer called him "Eyeliner", I'm beginning to think that Richard Alpert may in fact be of Egyptian descent... he kind of looks like Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra.. :)
Here's something fun: The ankh necklace was worn by Paul, Amy's husband...
Paul+"ankh"= Paul Anka, singer/songwriter of such hits as "You are my destiny", "One Man Woman/One Woman Man", and "You're having my baby"...take that Jeff Jensen!!!
Anyway, the show opened with the another wheelchair bound in the real world guy dancing on the Island...what's that? who? Locke?
Nope...this guy:

He apparently jumped back in time as well, from Friday Night Lights, where he was paralyzed and living with Jason Street...

it's all connected... watch..Sawyer will turn out to be Riggins dad...oh wait, that was Goodwin...

So Sawyer has conned his way into being the Head of Security on DHARMA Island, as Jim LaFluer.... He also happens to be IN LOVE!! with Juliet, the new head of mechanics down at the bus depot...

Funniest line of the night:
"Good evening Enos".. Sawyer to Miles, as they are about to go collect Horace Goodspeed..you have to love a good Dukes of Hazard reference...
now if my LOST history serves me correctly, Horace was married to another woman by the time Ben gets to the Island..so what happens to Amy? And her baby boy? I think we'll get that answer soon enough...but the interesting point here is that DHARMA was coming and going as they pleased, every 2 weeks, via the submarine...something happened after Ben gets to the Island as a young boy but even before that, DHARMA was still sending it's people back to the mainland to have their children... and then bringing them back I guess....
It's pure speculation on my part that once Ben became the leader of the Others, his makeup became the islands makeup, meaning that his mother died at childbirth and the island sensed this and thus, no mothers lived during child birth during Ben's regime... except Aaron, which makes him all the more special, so don't think you've seen the last of him...

An interesting thing about Daniel Faraday tonight: first, he's devastated enough about Charlotte's death that he mumbles that he won't tell her to never come back... but then minutes later he issues this nugget: Whatever happened, happened. But methinks we're about to see the dark side of Faraday, as foreshadowed in the shot above...Whatever happened, happened.
Now, he said that before to Sawyer but now I've had a couple of weeks to think about it...what we've seen since the beginning of this show has happened. Meaning, we saw Ben kill the DHARMA Initiative...but Sawyer and gang are part of the DI in 1974... so let's do some math, shall we?
According to Lostpedia Ben was born in the early 60's, let's say 1964...he looked to be about 12 or so when he came to the Island, which would be 1976, which would be right smack in the middle of when Sawyer and gang are there...it should be 1977 when Jack and crew shows up... so does Ben KNOW Jack and Sawyer before they show up on Oceanic Flight 815 in 2004?
It would certainly explain all the lists, wouldn't it? hmmmm....
So who were Sawyer and perfectly English speaking Jin searching for on grids 1-3? I think this might be DHARMA people who were abducted by the Hostiles... it was kind of a throwaway scene but it shows that Sawyer has turned a new leaf over back in the 70's.... he actually cares about people...
Isn't it funny to see Sawyer happy? His 3 years have been spent pretty damn happily, versus Jacks... further proof that Jack should have never left? Only misery has met the ones who left...
I have to admit though, seeing Sawyer smile is like watching Clint Eastwood in The Bridges of Madison County... I watched that movie and the whole time I had this weird feeling that I couldn't shake....then it hit me..I'd never seen Clint Eastwood smile.. it was off putting..much like seeing Sawyer being anything other than his normal, pessimistic self....

Now if that showdown between Richard and Sawyer did not remind you of Han Solo going to talk to Darth Vader himself, then you clearly don't get my old man's parallels of Star Wars to LOST... do some research... it's spot on... Richard is awesome and brings such a cool element to the show..the fact that they are allowing the DI to live there under a "truce" says a lot about how tough the Others are...

But let's get back to Sawyer and Juliet... Mr LeFluer brings a fluer to Miss Juliet and they proclaim their love for each other... well now this is certainly going to turn the love triangle of Jack/Kate/Sawyer into a square now that Juliet is involved... but hey, it's the 70's, man!! Free love and all that....
So what did I mean by filler, when all this good stuff was in the episode? Well it didn't really advance the story as much as it filled in some pieces.. and after last week's episode of Locke's journey, we could use a little supposition..some peace... some Namaste, DHARMA love, you know?
I will now leave you with this to ponder: Is Horace Goodspeed really the Smoke Monster? They both blow up trees... that's too much of a coincidence, if you ask me.... which you may not have...but here you are...
Next week is a re-run of this episode.. if you are in the Columbus area, you are invited to attend the Taste of LOST wine tasting event.(click on the highlighted area for details).. it's not often a baby invites you to drink wine and talk about LOST, so make the most of it.. odds are, you'll have fun! Oh wait, that's if you play the Ohio lottery....
I'm out!

The Life of Lockey

You're going to have to die, John..

Well I didn't think it had to be like that!!
Let's just jump into the meat and potatoes, shall we? Can someone puree them for me? I only have 2 teeth and they are right next to each other...
Ceasar the new guy is searching the office of the Sheriff...anyone remember the episode where Juliet was being "tried" for killing that one Other, way back in Season 3? Anyway, we know that they are on the Alcatraz Island because, guess what? Turns out Sawyer and Kate really were clearing land for a runway... this show continues to amaze me... they knew back then that they were building a runway for the Ajira Airways jet to land... how did they know that?? And what is with these passengers on the Ajira flight?

Anyway, Ceasar finds a double barrelled shotgun, or a gut buster as my dad calls his, when the pretty cop lady that was escorting Sayid pops into the room...but Ceasar, he doesn't tell her that he found a gun... and they act like they are supposed to be there..nothing seems very shocking until "Roxanne", another passenger was "scouting" and found a dude just standing in the water, wearing a suit..
Scouting.. methinks these are more mercenaries, coming to kill...but whose side are they on..

"My name is John Locke"...Locke is BACK baby!! But wait, there's more about these new Others that I want to get thru...
Alana tells Locke that the pilot and a "woman" ran off in the night.. That would be Frank and Sun, I assume.. That Frank can FLY!! Or more importantly, LAND... haha... he's something else, that Lawnmower Man...
So just to keep the story straight: Jack, Kate and Hurley are in the 70's, with Jin, Sawyer, Juliet, Miles and Faraday.
Sun, Locke, Ben, Frank and Sayid are in the current time zone, let's just say 2008...
Straight? Good...
Explanation? Not yet..

The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham
Locke "lands" in Tunisia, which Widmore tells him is the "exit" from the frozen wheel cave... How does Widmore know this? Because he was tricked, by Ben and that's where he ended up...
"You stole my island from me, boy!"... Widmore is going to get it back... how telling was his tale? He told Locke that HE was the leader...must have happened after Locke met him...Widmore was 17 then and he didn't consider them Others...they were his people..."we protected the Island for 3 decades...until I was exiled..by HIM.."...now, at first I thought he was talking about Ben, but I think Jacob was the one who exiled Richard...
But Locke says, I wasn't exiled..I chose to leave, which gave Widmore a pause.... he then drops this little nugget:
There is a war coming and if Locke isn't back on the Island, then the wrong side is going to win.... this reminds me of something Locke said, way back in Season 1..he told Charlie that he was going to need Sayid on "our side"
SO WHO'S on WHO'S SIDE IS THIS DANG PLACE????? Aaaargg.....
Well I think this episode is laying it all out there with one certain little sneaky fellow: Benjamin Linus.
What hasn't this fool done, in the name of the Island? He killed 2 people, just on tonight's show!! I think it's apparent who's side he's on...
But back to Widmore's last words to Locke: The Island needs you John...You're special.. and it's wanted you for a long time... for some reason, Locke is the key..haha..that's funny.. but it's also true..now, I can't tell you what the intentions of the Island are, but any guy who has survived as much as Locke has is certainly special..and tonight, he did the truly unbelievable... he became re born... I was going to say born again but he was already a believer....
Tonight we saw Locke's journey take him all over the States.. I just want to highlight the one I've been wanting to see for a while: the reunion of Walt and Locke....
..these 2 shared a bond on the Island..Walt was special as well and then he was kidnapped and eventually made it off the Island.. and now he dreams of Locke, back on the Island, in a suit, surrounded by people who want to hurt him....
Walt can see the future... or predict it...or cause things to happen..remember him beating Hurley at backgammon? Or causing that bird to hit the window and die when his mom wasn't paying attention to him? Oh, he's special alright.... and I don't think we've seen the last of him...
Eventually Locke goes to see all of the Oceanic 6 and one by one, they all shut him down as a broken, lonely old man... Locke decides that the journey is pointless and buys all the go to suicide props.. I never would have thought of an extension cord, but then again, I was just born 6 months ago...I'm not interested in leaving just yet... anyway, there he is about to end his own life and who should walk in but the little Prince himself: Ben
And what a song and dance that performance was...and what did Locke do yet again? He TRUSTED him...unbelievable!! And once Locke said that Eloise Hawking was going to help him get back to the Island, well ol' Ben choked him out with the aforementioned cord, taking care of the destiny that Locke was going to have to die...
Now here's the theory of the week: Ben actually SAVED Locke.
Here's where I site the religion again. When a person commits suicide, he is taking ownership over his body, but his body doesn't belong to him. It belongs to God. So if Locke takes his own life, then his resurection is compromised. But Ben doing the deed instead allowed him to shoulder the burden. Locke was free to return to the Island and rise once more.
Now don't get it twisted...Ben probably took some joy in that act but that's his cross to bear...
That's all I have for tonight, except for these last 2 nuggets:
Matthew Abbadon: Abbadon means "place of destruction"...but he seemed like such a good guy..
The Life magazine at the beginning of the episode featured an article on the atomic bomb, which references the bomb that Faraday told the Others to bury...
And a bonus look at this map!!..Notice there are a couple of "Events" that are marked... interesting..
That's my time folks!!
L Prez out!!

We're all stuck somewhere

That's why it's called a leap of faith, Jack......
So the gang's all back together... the whole Oceanic 5... yep, not 6... somewhere, somehow Aaron is no longer "available"... as a fellow baby, I find this turn of events concerning..I think it sends a bad message to people with babies, that they can just pass them off on someone else anytime they want to magically transport to a mysterious island...let's just say that I've got one eye open at all times.....
That's why it's called a leap of faith, Jack......
The episode started with a visit to the Lamppost, a DHARMA station that is used to figure out when the Island and where the Island will appear next... apparently, that pesky sucker has an impressive source of electromagnetic activity that can be found in other parts of the world as well and this one happens to be in LA, under a church...ok... The Lamp Post was also the first thing the kids saw when they traveled through the Wardrobe in the Chronicles of Narnia... now there's a book with some parallels to our beloved show...
That's why it's called a leap of faith, Jack......
So some "great man" concocted these equations... at least that's what Ms. Hawking said... Faraday's mom... anyone else get the cold hearted impression that she could have cared less about her son's warning from Desmond? I no longer feel like these folks(Hawking, Widmore, Ben) any of them are on the up and up...I would not be surprised to see that somehow, Faraday has been skipping thru time and he's the one who came up with the formulas that found the island in the first dang place... maybe he's the one who is behind all of this.. Maybe he's Jacob..
Check out the date on this photo...Exactly 50 years later, Oceanic Flight 815 crashed on the Island... coincidence?
That's why it's called a leap of faith, Jack......

And what was Ben up to, calling Jack from a payphone, looking like he had been fighting sharks, all bloodied and wet...He told Jack he made a promise to an old friend and that he had to tie up some loose ends...with Desmond in town, methinks Ben was going to complete his threat to Widmore that he was going to kill Penny... I guess we'll have to wait to see what that was all about.... either way, he made his flight....
Along with Hurley, who is carrying a guitar(for Charlie, perhaps?)..so who told Hurley about the flight? Or Sayid?
And why was Sayid in cuffs? And who was the lady cop escorting him? We see the lady cop in the previews for next week...in which we also see Widmore and Locke talking...you know what? For that matter, who told Kate? For all she knew, Jack was already gone..how did she know he would go back to his apartment?
I think that Widmore has got one half of the 6 on his side..something makes me think that he also has Aaron..maybe he threatened Hurley, Sayid and Kate to get on the plane... Ben sure was shocked to see those guys...

OH and what about Frank Lapidus being the pilot??? HAha..this show is such a mind bender... Frank is a pilot on Ajira Airlines, which if you recall, was the label on the water bottle that Sawyer found on the beach, right before they were all chased in the boat..was that Jack and crew shooting at them?? How could that even happen??
That's why it's called a leap of faith, Jack......
Locke is the stand in for Jack's dad..I guess they needed a dead body to gain access to the island... but noodle on this:
what if Christian Shepard was supposed to bring all of the 815er's there when he died?
And then Jack and his dang free will caused them to leave and now they have to recreate the whole thing over again... to stop something from happening... or to make something happen... everything happens for a reason...
Bibles! Get your Bibles here!
With an episode entitled 316, you had to infer the most known quote of the Bible, as I mentioned last week....
Turns out, I was mostly right...Ben gave a great Bible lesson to Jack about Thomas the apostle and how even though Thomas was the one apostle who had Jesus' back, he'll always be remembered for his moment of doubt, forever coining the phrase "Doubting Thomas"...
.... so who is Thomas in our LOST world? I'll go with Ben...I think he'll do whatever the Island asks of him but he won't believe it until he sees it with his own eyes... and what is IT? I'll keep going with the story of Jesus and say that Locke will be resurrected...not actually brought back to life but more like, UN DEAD...like Christian... the real question here is will Christian want his shoes back when he sees Locke wearing them...
And at the risk of blasphemy, the "JL" sort of looks like "JC".....I'm just sayin'!!
Oh and further proof that Jack is a Man Of Science, he didn't know how the Thomas story ended... don't they make you take Religious Studies at like every college in the world??...
That's why it's called a leap of faith, Jack......
The reason I keep inserting this line is because it sums up this whole show..I can recap and predict but it still requires a leap of faith..and that's what's asked of us as viewers and fans... all in due time... although maybe Desmond spoke for a majority of the audience when he yelled out that he was done with Island...
Speaking of time, take a look at this picture and then read my last theory of the day...
The newness of this DHARMA van would indicate that DHARMA is still on the island... but we know Ben killed all the DHARMA folks, right?....which means this van being new can only mean one thing:
Bring on that '70's show!!!
Yep, when Locke stopped the wheel from skipping, he "landed" the island back in the 70's....which means that for close to 3 years, Sawyer, Jin, Juliet, et all have been living on the island, in the 70's..... so why bring the O6 back to that time period? Was it a mistake?
Ms Hawking said they had 36 hours...but at the beginning of the episode, it said "46 hours earlier"..maybe I misheard...I have tiny baby ears....
Or maybe that is how it was all supposed to go down originally...oh, I don't even know anymore!!!
And I can't wait to see Jin speaking in perfect English..he would have to after living on the Island for 3 years...heck, look how good it is now and he's only been there for 3 months....it's going to blow Hurley's mind, since Hurley had that vision way back in Season 3 of Jin saying "It's all going to change"...

That's my time tonight...I'm tired and I want to bask in the silly geekiness of this show... I LOVE IT!!!
L Prez OUT!

whoa

BRO HUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That episode blew my diaper off!.. Or maybe it was the wind... here in Columbus tonight is a mighty windstorm...we lost the cable and my dad had to go "old school"...that's what he said...I have no idea what he says half the time... he hooked up these long metal sticks to the TV..he called them "rabbit ears" but they didn't look like any rabbit I've ever seen....and my mom was all smiles because she said she was impressed that dad was being so calm about the situation.. he was as cool as a teething ring, fresh from the freezer...

Anyway, this episode packed quite a punch! Starting from the beginning we saw how Montand lost his arm...courtesy of Smokey, the temple security system...

I don't know if any of you recall Danielle's story that she told Sayid: That her crew became sick and she had to kill them all, even the father of her child… well it turns out that she was telling the truth! And she killed them to protect herself, as it looked like they were going to kill her…

apparently Smokey is very influential in converting people to his side of things… But at least now we see that Danielle has been telling the truth all of this time, although now she is dead… but maybe the fact that she was alone on the island all those years after killing her crew and seeing a washed ashore Korean fella disappear into thin air, well, losing her mind may have been the most expected route to take….

One last thing about this part of the story: remember when Danielle was leading Jack and crew to the Black Rock back in season 1? She said that the monster was a security system…. Well here we are 5 years later and sure enough, she was right….. I love how some of these things are coming together..

Off Island, we see that Ben has managed to continue to weasel his way into getting what he wants… He’s done nothing but lie and after seeing Jack’s dad helping Locke, I’m convinced that he’s only doing things for his own gain… OR is he???
Let’s assume that Locke was the one who was supposed to move the island in the first place. So then what? Locke gets a free trip back to the real world and the island stays in tact? I don’t believe that. Jack and all still would have left and that wouldn’t have been good…

So was Christian lying to Locke? Does Christian represent the Island? If so, is the Island demanding that Locke leave? “That’s why they call it a sacrifice, John”. I don’t know but this part raised more questions than any other tonight and it may be a while before we get that answer…
I take that last statement back. The Charlotte story actually raised more questions, while simultaneously answering some…which is truly fascinating story telling. So we found out that Charlotte grew up on the Island. She and her mom left her father behind. I’ll assume that Charlotte was fairly young cause when they got back to the real world, her mom tried to convince her that it was all a dream….It was all a dream, I used to read Word Up magazine, Salt and Pepa and Heavy D up in the limosine… sorry, I don’t know where that came from…

Anyway, Charlotte’s dad was still on the Island..I’m going to speculate that he may have been killed in the Purge, as he was part of the DHARMA Initiative. Did they know that they were about to be wiped out and Papa Lewis made them leave? Is he still alive?
Is he Benjamin Linus?
What? Why would you say such a thing? If Ben knew he was about to kill everyone on the Island, surely he would tell the mother of his child that she needed to leave and take their love child with her. I’m calling it now: Charlotte’s mother is Annie, Ben’s childhood sweetheart and Charlotte is their baby. Which means he shot his baby in the chest last season when she showed up on the Island. Confused yet? I’m just getting warmed up..speaking of warmed up, where’s that lady with my bottle?....all this speculating is making me hungry…
So think about this one, even if it’s completely out there: When Ben saw Alex killed by Keamy, he knew that would set into motion the events that would lead us to where we ended up tonight: Charlotte dying by the river. When Ben said “you killed my daughter” to Widmore, he wasn’t referring to Alex. He was referring to Charlotte. Think about it: Ben, although seemingly demented, is a pretty straightforward guy. And yes, he may have raised Alex as his own but he knew she wasn’t his real daughter… so while he was upset about Alex dying, what was really upsetting was the fact that it set into motion all of the events leading up to now. I know it’s an insane theory but there may be some truth to it…

Back to what we do know: Charlotte thinks Faraday once told her she would die if she ever came back to the Island..which means that Faraday is trying to change the past, or the future… we’ve already seen him during the early DHARMA years..is he time traveling in order to save Charlotte? Does he not believe in “course correction”? His mother is the damn teacher of that principle….he should know what his limitations are….
I guess we’ll see what happens next week when Eloise Hawking tells the others how to get back to the Island… that should be COOL…
By the way, did you notice how shocked Ben was to see Desmond? And then, when Desmond said that Eloise was Faraday’s mother, Ben looked like he was going to pee himself…methinks he did not know that little ditty..but Charles Widmore knew it..which means that maybe, just maybe Widmore has the upper hand on ol Ben and has been using him to get the O6 back on the Island, to stabilize it so he could find it again… or something like that.. Noodle on this as well...We made an assumption last week that Eloise was in fact Ellie, the woman that took Dan to see the bomb... a lot of people are speculating that Eloise is Charles Widmore's sister, mostly due to the way he told her to shut up... I like that assumption...it adds real heft to the story and it also pits a family(Charles, Penny, Eloise, Faraday) against a young punk, who stole the Island from them(Ben).....

I’ll leave you with this one tidbit about next week: Supposedly it was going to be the episode we saw the preview for, which is entitled 316, but I think they are going to switch it with the episode entitled The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham, which should explain what Locke was up to when he traveled off the island… I’ll keep you informed one way or the other… (UPDATE: It looks like it will be the episode entitled 316...anyone want to bust their Bible out for that one? You see it a every football game...John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life"...NOW if you can't read into that, I can't help you any further)

Anyone see Pet Cemetary? All I'm saying is that I wouldn't trust this kid any further than I could throw him...and I'm a baby with very little upper body strength..
Good day, LOSTIES!!!!!!!!!
This episode was entitled "The Little Prince", which is a book about a young explorer who leaves his meteorite. This book was written by a French pilot. Who, in real life, took off from a small island and was never seen again.
This is all on Wikipedia and I could not make it up if I tried...
Ok... so after watching the episode, how could you not draw multiple parallels?!?! Well one of my favorite LOST followers, Jeff Jensen at Entertainment Weekly expounds on this ad-nauseum so I won't do it... feel free to see for yourself here....
But after watching the show, the best parallel is the reveal of the French people at the end:

Danielle Rousseau and her science team! Hey look, there's Montand, the one who loses an arm! And look, there's her pregnant belly with Alex inside! And hey look, they found Jin floating at sea....
Wait.....JIN?!?! That dude has like 9 lives!!!!!!!!
And he must be part fish, cause he's always washing up somewhere..except this time he speaks English... which helps, with the French... Thankfully Danielle shows up bilingual... Of course, this only adds to Jin's confusion..poor dude has been passed out during all the flashes... he really is LOST.... But I'm glad he's alive...that would have been a lame death...

So let's return to the central plot this week. Kate is on a mission to find out who is behind trying to get Aaron away from her.... Jack meets up with her and they follow the lawyer to the same hotel that Locke's dad was staying at...oh yeah, I checked the tape.. funny how all of these things circle back.. which reminds me: In last week's episode, Desmond is inquiring at Oxford about Faraday..the lady helping him is the SAME lady that helped Hurley board Oceanic flight 815 in Australia... now, I didn't know that right off the bat.. this internet is crawling with people who have far less to do than me, and I'm a baby...all I do is eat, sleep and poo..... I'm pretty sure they don't sleep...what does the fact that it's the same lady mean? Either she's there to keep the "course corrected" or the casting director at LOST is lame at their job.... I'll let you decide....
Where was I? oh yeah... if this were season 2, we wouldn't know who was behind the lawyer until next week's episode..but now? Well now, we knew before Kate and Jack found out...turns out ol' Ben was up to his old tricks and trying to scare the band into getting back together...
Surely Ben knows that deception isn't always the way...surely, he would try some honey to lure the bees.... well, he might...and don't call me Shirley....
So now the whole gang is back together, sans Hurley... when Hurley showed up in that bright orange jumpsuit, I nearly spit up my bottle... actually I did spit up my bottle but that's another story.... too funny..

Jumping ahead to next week, we see Sun holding a gun to Ben and Ben telling her that Jin is alive and he can prove it... that should be interesting to see...
Meanwhile back on the island.... Charlotte is still bleeding from the nose and next thing you know Miles is bleeding from the nose.... So finally Miles has to know what's going on, now that it's him about to do the "temporal displacement" dance.... for those of you who aren't up to speed on this: Temporal displacement is when your mind can't distinguish between the past, present and future...Remember Minkowski, the guy on the frieghter? Or Desmond? So everyone needs to find their constant, right? That's how Desmond cured himself..he got a phone call from Penny. Faraday is ok because Desmond is his constant, who he just saw again when he told him to find his mother...
So who is Charlotte's constant? What about Miles? and now, what about Juliet?? Turns out, the longer you've been exposed to the island, the sooner you'll get bitten by the temporal displacement love bug.... and it's only a matter of time before it gets to Sawyer and Locke..... or will it?

I'm of the hope that Kate is Sawyer's constant and that by seeing her in the jungle, that was enough to keep him nosebleed free.. as for Locke, well maybe he leaves the island before it happens to him.... that's not a spoiler...we know he leaves and we know he dies but it's the how and why that keeps us caring...take a lesson, writers of Heroes!!!.....
It was really cool to see the Kate and Claire scene from season 1... and the light of the Hatch..Sawyer and Locke sharing their experience of "when they were".... Sawyer asking Locke why he didn't try to change it and save himself "a world of pain". Locke says he needed that pain to get to where he was now.... how cool that the same reasoning also applies to Sawyer..without falling in love with Kate, Sawyer would still be a jaded con artist, never trusting anyone... now he's a better person, sacrificing himself for others... This proves to me that Sawyer and Kate will be together again... that's just raw passion... being a baby doesn't preclude me from knowing about passion... how do you think I got here?

But back to Miles and his nosebleed. Faraday thinks it has to do with the duration of exposure to the Island. Miles responds that he's never been to the Island before 2 weeks ago. Faraday asks him if he's sure about that. SPECULATION TIME!!: Is Miles the baby we saw at the start of this season? The son of Dr Cheng, slash Wickmund slash Waxman slash Marvin Candle??? There was a time when babies could be born on the island.. It's been put out there before that Charlotte has definitely been there before... I hate to speculate based solely on race but I give this episode as my defense. The writers don't show us things that aren't important. At least not anymore now that they are a speed mission to tell the rest of the story... we may soon find out that little Miles is special cause he was born there....and to be born to the man we've come to know as Mr Dharma himself? well that my friends would be called coming full circle..

So who was shooting at Sawyer and his crew in the future? I can't say but I would be willing to speculate that whoever it is, they are the ones responsible for all the bad things that happened after Jack and the 6 left...
This is going to be the hard part to explain to me: The 6 have been off the island for 3 years. And Locke showed up as Bentham 3 months prior to the 6's present time. Which means that the Island folk have been skipping thru time for 2 and half years or so? How????
That to me is the biggest mystery. Well that and the 4 toed statue... but something tells me that will get explained this season as well... who's laying bets that it's Hurley's foot??? haha..I'll let you think about that one...

That's my time folks! See you on the flip!
